The Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure Initiative aims to support the transition to electric vehicles by developing a reliable and accessible network of charging stations. This project aligns with sustainability efforts by reducing carbon emissions, promoting clean energy adoption, and enhancing regional EV connectivity. By strategically deploying chargers in key locations, the project will facilitate EV adoption while supporting local economic growth and transportation resilience.

• Utility Companies – AEP Ohio and AES Ohio
• EV Charging Vendors – TBD

• State and Federal Agencies – Federal Highway Administration, DriveOhio
Budget & Funding Sources:
• Funding secured through Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Community 1A and Corridor 1B Grants
• 20% federal match to be supplied by Utilities CIAC and vendors
