The City of Logan electric aggregation program is administered by SOPEC and supplied by SOPEC’s retail energy partner, AEP Energy. Program rate is for generation supply only, and is expressed in cents per kilowatt hour. Program rate is fixed through June 2020. Program rate includes 0% renewable energy supply through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for each one thousand kilowatt hours (1 MWh) of program usage.

Eligibility

The service address for eligible accounts must be located within the incorporated limits of the City of Logan. Eligible accounts must also receive the standard service supply offer from AEP Ohio. Accounts are ineligible if they meet any of the following conditions:

  1. are enrolled under the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP) program;

  2. are already enrolled with a retail energy supplier;

  3. use more than 700,000 kilowatt hours annually or are part of a national chain of accounts;

  4. are supplied by a rural electric cooperative;

  5. are supplied by a municipal electric utility;

  6. are registered on the PUCO Do-Not-Aggregate list;

  7. have previously requested to opt-out of the local aggregation program.
